Let's hope 2017 will be a productive and enjoyable year, with much progress to report!
Trinity Green
It is high time for a Work In Progress Wednesday report on Trinity Green.
Since my last TG report at the end of November I have made only 108 new triangles. With those the total is now 7.020 so I have actually reached my target.
I then placed all paper strips on the sheet I will be using as a background.
I can also make a nice cushion to go with the quilt - once it is completed!
Fabric in focus
Fabric with Christmas theme usually has a lot of red, but I found this mistletoe fabric that will have to represent the past season.
Happy New Year to you and neverending wish to create.
ReplyDeleteYou, too, must never stop creating. Looking forward to seeing your work this year, too.
DeleteThis is incredible! Wow!
ReplyDeleteIt does look impressive when spread out like this. Now comes the hard work of assembly and removal of paper!
DeleteHappy new year. Great progress. Finish it soon. Eagerly waiting for the quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could finish it soon! However, it will take a long time before this quilt is actually on the bed!
DeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAmazing feat. though i have been reading the number of triangles , still it is wonderful to see the whole set.you must have really worked hard to take this picture too. Best Wishes!
Chitra
Happy New Year to you, too. I had some knee ache after having spread out all those strips on the floor!
DeleteWOW!! That is truly amazing. Isn't it incredible how many greens are out there in the fabric world. Happy New Year and Happy Quilting to you.
ReplyDeleteIt has indeed been interesting to see all the green shades there are.
DeleteI wish you, too, a Happy New Year.
Thanks for sharing this project, I enjoy the progress and planning.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
Best wishes for a great 2017.
DeleteTrinity Green is far from complete so there will be many more posts!
That looks fantstic. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI was surprised how the paper strips look spread out compared to seeing them piled up in the box, Then when they are sewn together the quilt will 'shrink' of course, so I might have to make more strips...
That sure is a lot of triangles! I'm looking forward to seeing where they will go next. Should i send Nikko to remove all that paper for you?
ReplyDeleteWill Nikko remove the paper and leave the fabric alone? No, I think it is better that I have private confetti party alone. It will take some time to remove!
DeleteGood to see the triangles coing alive now you are putting them all together what a great project you are working on
ReplyDeleteIt has been and will continue to be a time consuming project! I have enjoyed it and hope to do so the rest of the way, too.
DeleteHappy New Year, Carin!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching your target!
TG looks amazing, and I hope your knees have recovered from the marathon!
I look forward to seeing it all coming together!
Hugs, Barbara xx
Next marathon will be to stitch the strips together. THIS will not affect my knees, though!
DeleteAmazing work. I had to show Hubby your laid out triangles and even he was very impressed. It is going to be so striking!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteOnce the seam allowances are hidden the quilt will shrink and I might have to add more paper strips to cover the backing fabric. The triangles will also look smaller once joined together.
Have a great weekend.
It is going to look fabulous when completed, all the hard work will be worth it.
ReplyDeleteI just hope I will have enough patience.
DeleteThat is a major green project you have there! All laid out makes it seem as the next step is imminent... still getting all that paper off is a project in itself.
ReplyDeleteFancy coming over for a confetti party? Julie offered me her dog to help remove the paper, maybe your dog has a taste for paper, too?!
