WIPW - Trinity Green Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Let's hope 2017 will be a productive and enjoyable year, with much progress to report!

Trinity Green
It is high time for a Work In Progress Wednesday report on Trinity Green.

Since my last TG report at the end of November I have made only 108 new triangles. With those the total is now 7.020 so I have actually reached my target.
I then placed all paper strips on the sheet I will be using as a background.

Sewn together with green strips of fabric I hope to have enough, but there are still a number of cut triangles so I can add more if needed.
I can also make a nice cushion to go with the quilt - once it is completed!

Fabric in focus
Fabric with Christmas theme usually has a lot of red, but I found this mistletoe fabric that will have to represent the past season.

      Oh, I wish I could finish it soon! However, it will take a long time before this quilt is actually on the bed!

      I was surprised how the paper strips look spread out compared to seeing them piled up in the box, Then when they are sewn together the quilt will 'shrink' of course, so I might have to make more strips...

      Will Nikko remove the paper and leave the fabric alone? No, I think it is better that I have private confetti party alone. It will take some time to remove!

      Next marathon will be to stitch the strips together. THIS will not affect my knees, though!

      Thank you.
      Once the seam allowances are hidden the quilt will shrink and I might have to add more paper strips to cover the backing fabric. The triangles will also look smaller once joined together.

    That is a major green project you have there! All laid out makes it seem as the next step is imminent... still getting all that paper off is a project in itself.
