WIPW -Ticking 'em off

Kafferepet
Another section of the border has been quilted with TAST #110 Rope Stitch.

Swedish Cushion
Last week I mentioned that there were 46 remaining TAST stitches to add to the cushion. Yesterday Sharon announced two new stitches, of which one was a beaded version that I will not use, so that leaves me with a total of 47 stitches at this point. The best way of ticking 'em off is to add as many as possible to a design. I managed to squeeze in six in this geometric shape:

Top edge: TAST #31 Pekinese Stitch (green and light purple)
Bottom edge: #27 Basque Stitch (green)
Yellow row: #17 Crossed Buttonhole Stitch
Red corners: #30 Cast On Stitch
Blue row: #88 Buttonhole Picot with Chain stitch
Centre: #35 Drizzle Stitch (red and purple)
I have also worked on some future projects. I will write about them in detail later. Here are just a few photo glimpses:

    Hi Queenie, the kafferpet is coming on so nicely ! I love your geometric shape....the stitches are so intrigueing !
    I am so busy just lately with the workshop coming up and family commitments, haven't had much time to be creative...have a good week Queenie,

      Hi Chris,
      I really enjoy finding a place for the TAST stitches on the cushion. I first intended to use only four then changed the design to be able to add two more!
      Don't let the workshop drain you! It is sometimes good to take a break from one's own creations to focus on helping others create. Once you get back it will be even more fun to do!

    yes Queenie you have been busy with your stitching. Rope stitch has worked very well and I am so impressed with all those stitches in your geometric design

      After the straight lines of the star and the 'box' I will have to add some curves on the cushion and look at suitable TAST stitches for the job.

    You are really busy. The TAST stitches are great. I love your basque stitch. Pekinese stitch is so neat. I will not say anything about drizzle or cast on, because they are difficult stitches for me, it is hard to talk about them calmly. your cushion is fantastic. eager to see your other projects. waiting is good.

      You know your stitches! The drizzle and cast on stitches are tricky, you need a lot of patience and preferably a thread with a good twist and a Milliners needle with a large enough eye to re-thread it often. However, I really enjoy doing them; no thinking is needed!!!
      Wait a bit longer and the other projects will be revealed.

    The rope stitch for quilting is a very nice idea and looks great. The geometric shape with your stitch combination is so neat and will be a lovely addition to the cushion.

      The rope stitch is nice for quilting but it takes time!
      Next on the cushion will be some lines with a flow. I need linear stitches again! Which are left?

    Your rope stitch makes beautiful quilting . I like how you use the tast stitches for your square design.

      Thank you. I try to do some interesting lines or shapes to use the various stitches on. Next up are some softer, curvy lines.
