TAST #104 and #105 Buttonholed Cable Chain and Alternating BCC

Finally I have made some progress on the TAST front.
#104 is called Buttonholed Cable Chain and consists of a base stitch of Cable Chain onto whose chains buttonhole stitches have been worked. Do you follow?
They are here seen in blue.
#105 is the same stitch but the buttonholes are only worked on one alternating side of the chain, so it is appropriately called Alternating Cable Chain. Here they are worked in red.

A bead would fit beautifully on the link, so I expect one day there will be a Beaded Buttonholed Cable Chain...Let's just wait and see what Sharon says..

      I think they are really neat, and wouldn't they be great combined with #58 Woven Detached Chain?

    While admiring your Alternating buttonhole chain I realize I did not do this correctly. In fact I posted a photo with the work on one side only- definitely not alternating.
    I will remedy that error shortly.
    Both versions of yours are lovely and beading is an obvious choice.

      The way to do this stitch can be varied in so many ways, a much longer link stitch, with or without beads, the number of buttonhole stitches you add, on one side only or alternating. If worked in a wouldn't it be a stylish flower?

    good to see you are catching up, I am way behind you but think I might use the alternating one on my latest crazy block. Think it is more appealing than the other one and can see a bead would work well on the first row.

      Now that the TAST stitches are getting more complex they are even more suitable for cq and embellishing. Please make use of them!

      Yes, you will! This stitch is not only great, but quite easy, too. A lot of looks for very little input!

    Neat stitches! The alternating buttonholed cable chain stitch makes a lovely wave.The names of the stitches are getting longer every time!

      I loved both doing the stitches and the result. A lot of look for very little effort. The names are getting longer and longer; did you read Chitra's comment on Pintangle?

    These look so good. So good that I think I had better start another sampler from stitch 101 onward. I wasn't going to but looking at your samples I can't stop myself.

    Please give it a good think before you start on a new project, Carolyn. I, if anyone, know that one needs time to 'smell the roses' and take it easy.
