Heavy Snow in Tokyo

We had some heavy snow in Tokyo yesterday. Traffic came to a standstill. It was bright. It was quiet. It was magical.
This morning the sun is shining and everywhere the melting snow is glistening. It made me think of this piece of fabric.

  1. My Godson Jason will be pleased. He and his wife are over there at the moment on a ski-ing holiday and we are here watering his plants.

    1. Snow is not for a capital city! Life is disrupted!
The snowfall has been heavy all over Japan this year and the ski resorts are celebrating. I am sure your Godson and his wife are having a good time; I just hope they have no problems getting back to 'civilisation' once the holiday is over.

  2. your snow fall made our news , they said it was extremely cold in Tokyo, the sun has warmed it up for you so that is good. Just a sprinkling here and the first snowfall of the winter, hope it is the last too.

    1. Wow! Was our snow worthy of a news report in the UK?! It is so nice to sit in the window and look out at the white world. It is another thing to have to be outside and shovel snow or push the car up a slippery slope.
I hope your sprinkling is just enough to prettify the neighbourhood without turning your life around.

  3. oh what a coincidence. this night we had a lot of snow, and this morning was very quiet. often, I am waked up by noise, but not today. I think to myself that snow bring peace and calm.
