Friday Homework for Lesson 378: Raised Cretan Stitch

The Raised Cretan Stitch makes a nice, ornamental look. The opportunity to play with threads of different weight, structure and colour is great.


Please note: By mistake, I added the wrong video clip of Ariane Zurcher's On the Other Hand, in the Sunday Stitch School's lesson. I have now changed it to the one containing Raised Chevron Stitch.

    The stitches look like barbed wire. My favorite example is on the aida. I always like even stitches best.

    I used to use cretan stitch a lot but I don't think I ever 'raised' it.
