There is a wealth of embroidery stitches, designs and stitch combinations in India. Lots of them can be found on the internet, on various blogs or on Youtube.
I came across today's stitch at Let's Learn Embroidery and it is called Pointed Tip Buttonhole Knot Flower. It is a version of the Buttonhole Bar Stitch.
Check it out at the link above.
Here is my photo tutorial:
Use two threads in the needle, go from A to B.
in at A again.
..........................
Another method is to use ONE strand of thread in the needle.
Then you need to make TWO straight stitches, of course.
Let flowers bloom on these samplers.
Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery three-dimensional and cute.
ReplyDeleteBut It's a stitch that I can't well now.
I recently started practicing embroidery.
And I'm overwhelmed by the big difference between seeing and actually doing it.😨
That's lovely little stitch - how very effective!
ReplyDeleteYes, very three dimensional and what a sweet little flower it makes up!
ReplyDeleteGood tutorial Queenie, thank you.
