WIPW - I Prefer the Needle

 Work In Progress Wednesday

It has been a very hectic last week of the year. Not much progress...

Log Cabin Challenge

Five new blocks. Total 330.

Tatting

I can now definitely say that I prefer tatting with a needle to using a shuttle. Maybe my fingers are stiff with age and not flexible enough to handle the shuttle easily. Or it is a matter of practise, but for the moment I prefer needle tatting.
I simply haven't had time ot make more than this, but I love the look of the variegated thread.

Have a good end of the year.

  1. Your tatting is gorgeous! I love the look! I learned how to do needle tatting years ago and really should pick it up again.

  2. How many more Log Cabin squares to go? Your variegated thread is lovely in those shades. I know the feeling of stiff fingers, but we find other ways to do things. Best wishes for the end of the year.

  5. Lovely colour combinations for the Log Cabin. Age has removed most of my fingerprints so shuttle tatting isn't easy anymore. I sampled the needle version, once, but will try it next year..not far away.
To you and your Followers, have a safe and happy 2021

  7. I completely agree about tatting needles. I love the sound the shuttle makes, but I just couldn't get on with it. Hope your Christmas was restful and all the best for 2020.

  8. I like the variegated tatting. I have a shuttle but don’t know how to use it or how to needle tat. You have quite a collection of log cabins!
