This must be a great stitch for small children. It is so easy.
I had no problem using some fancy and unusual threads, such as you can see in the

Aida Sampler
Here I let the winding threads share spokes and played with different amount of windings.
What fun! All the different threads, colors and combinations really make this a versatile stitch!
ReplyDeleteWell, couching is always the best way to cope with tricksy threads, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteI like your sampler work with variation in color, thread and number of threads. A good demonstration of what can be done with that stitch.
ReplyDeleteI also like that grid anchored with French knots, very attractive.
I used to love doing spiders web stitch when I was young.
ReplyDeleteThis stitch is very effective, reminds me of life rings thrown overboard.
ReplyDeleteA simple stitch to play with variety of threads or yarns
ReplyDeleteLove the circles with the different threads!
ReplyDeleteWith different types of threads, you get very different looks.
ReplyDeleteI tried the woven circle and really like. It is a great way to use some funky yarns/threads! I love what you did with yours!
ReplyDeleteYou make that look so easy. I'm sure I would end up with a big bulky pile of rounds ... or they would catch on something and pull out a crazy loop.
