Good choice, I wonder if I should use the red purple (raspberry ice cream) or blue purple (blueberry ice cream) on this block. I have to narrow down the range of purple.

ReplyDeleteIt was just my imagination - I have never tasted lavender ice cream myself, but lavender scones are great, so why wouldn't it be a good ice cream flavor, too.

Lavender is popular in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, and also in Norfolk, UK.

I was thinking of violet, it is a popular ice cream flavor in Sweden. I have never seen it in the UK, nor in Japan.
DeleteOops, I meant to comment here yesterday, but all this talk of lavender foods distracted me ..... I was off looking for my old herbal cookbook where there were a few lavender recipes..... but then I found we’d had a clear out and it was gone!

DeleteMy friends in Norfolk treated me to homemade lavender scones, and I have also had some at a stately home (National Trust Tea Rooms) but I can't remember where. I often drink lavender herbal tea here in Tokyo.
In this block the fabric is cream and the embellishments will be 'lavender'. Purple dream, yes, it is certainly a soft colour scheme. I will have a think.
