WIPW - Mushroom

For Work In Progress Wednesday on my

Mola
I added a mushroom in the blank area (bottom left). There is more work to do in that corner as the mushroom is not very colourful.

      Thank you for your comment. The mushroom needs some brighter colours, so it will have to grow a bit.

    More progress!
    I looked at Fumiko's blog and saw some of her work.
    It's basically reverse appliqué, she uses very colorful fabric underneath with beautiful results.
    Lots of possibility with that technique.

      her quilts should be seen 'in the flesh' and with a magnifying glass - so small and invisible are the stitches. Not one frayed edge!
      My mushrooms, and other things, are having a fraying festival!

    I enjoyed visiting the links, the festival looks amazing! I presume you will be going to the show?

      I think ANYTHING that Fumiko Nakayama makes is awesome; I am very much looking forward to her exhibition within the festival.

    Your mushroom looks like it was very fiddly to do with such small spots on it.
