Teacher: You'd better have a good excuse for handing in your homework a day late.
Student: Well, yesterday my brain boiled dry in the heat.
Teacher: I've never heard such rubbish!
Student: But it's true, Miss, I promise.
Teacher: Stop wining and hand over the work.
Student: Here it is.
Teacher. Hm, not too bad considering the overcooked brain. I'll give you, 'Pass'.
Student: Oh, thank you, Miss.
still no let up in the weather for you but it did not stop you making another good homework piece even though it was late.
ReplyDeleteIt's either too hot or too humid or both! This is the most humid summer I've ever experienced in Japan in all the years I've lived here. It's SO tiring!
DeleteThe lovely texture in the second photo makes me want to run my hand over it. It must have taken a while to make all those knots!
ReplyDeleteYes, it did take a long time, but it was easy and rhythmical work so it wasn't boring. The knotty surface is very 'touchable'.
DeleteVery good, especially with an overcooked brain. A lovely texture!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a nice texture. Now I am talking about the knots, and not my poor brain!
DeleteVery interesting stitch! Isn't it hot this summer? I'm in Kyushu this week and I feel like I'm melting.
ReplyDeleteOh, the poor people of Kyushu, they have certainly suffered more than anyone with this year's disastrous weather.
Deletenice knotty piece. My brain is also in slow motion. Whewww!
ReplyDeleteIt will be another 'Sleepless in Tokyo' nights!
Deletefantastic stitching. very neat and lovely texture. Heat is producing lots of good work!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! You must be right as you live in the hottest of places and produces much more work than I do.
DeleteChinese knot!! This must've taken hours!! :o
ReplyDeleteOh, yes it did!
DeleteYou braved the heat and finished your project. Good work!
ReplyDeleteStay cool.
The weather here hasn't been as humid, a little relief.
Day by day we are moving from summer into autumn and ONE day it will be cool and pleasant! I just have to be patient.
DeleteI hope all is well over there.
So many knots, pretty!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many knots I put in!
DeleteYou've done very well in the heat.
ReplyDeleteIt was easier than I thought.
