Work In Progress Wednesday - Woolly Summer Blooms

Work In Progress Wednesday:

Trinity Green
I have only added a few new rows of straight line quilting - it's been too hot and humid to work on the bulky quilt.

Greeting Card
I made another greeting card with a basket of summer blooms. Most of them are made with wool and that, too, was a bit to 'woolly' to work in the heat and humidity of Tokyo.
 Most of my Appleton yarn is in muted tones, good for the basket and the greens, but the flowers needed a bit more colour and I added some perl and stranded floss.

    I always try to have something light and easy to work on when it is hot and humid - I agree, wool is not ideal!

      I will take your advice. In this case, the wool was easier to grab from the shelf than the other threads in a box behind!!! Lazy!!!

    Imagine how cool it is in Colorado. Today I went out and bought a long-sleeved wool shirt! Hard to prepare for a trip here even before the sauna season really hit.

      I'd rather be wearing a long-sleeved wool shirt than try to pull off my own skin to get cool! It is H O T and H U M I D in Tokyo.

    The hot humid weather is a memory or far enough in the future not to think about here. Great for quilting!! I love your cards, they really are unique.

      Heat is an energy sucker! The power network is working hard to feed all ACs and the human body goes into slow motion.
