WIPW - Paper Trail

What have I got to report for Work In progress Wednesday?

Well, progress has been made on

Trinity Green
where I have carefully been removing paper from the back of the quilt. There is a paper trail wherever I go!

    Yesterday, the one to two year olds were taring paper and wetting it and sticking it onto a board. (and I was cleaning up scraps) I can only imagine this process.

      Not only toddlers like playing with torn paper, cats do, too! Who is really to be blamed for the paper trail?!

    That's a big start to unpicking all the paper. What a shame we're not all close enough to help out.
    That would be such fun, not work, then.

      Thanks for our offer.
      If I had a paper removing bee we could start in a corner and work inwards.. However I have only invited Harry Potter and his friends, but they refuse to work by hand and are not allowed to use magic outside Hogwarts, so I have to unpick all the paper myself!

    Communal paper removing get to together, wish I was closer also. No doubt you wan't want to see another paper triangle for a long time after removing them all.

      I have a stash of blue, red, purple, brown, pink..... fabric, too. If I ever make a scrappy quilt with that, I might not choose the triangle as a basic shape, ha, ha!

      I will keep the paper in the edges so I can easily add border or binding.

    Clearly the solution is for all of us to take a vacation to Japan, help you remove all that paper while drinking sake. We could then go shopping for fabric!

      You would not like to spend your time in Japan removing paper! Better go on a sake bar crawl and fabric shopping spree in Textile Town or at the vintage kimono shops.

    Good progress, Queenie! Slow and steady gets it done.
    That Textile Town and the vintage kimono shops would be fun to explore I think.

      You would not be the only foreigner at those shops; buying local fabric as a 'souvenir' is popular amongst quilters around the world.

    The only way to do this is slow and steady, bit by bit. Get some done, leave it, come back. Before you know it you will be wondering how you did it all.

      I can listen to the news on TV while pricing the paper off the triangles, so a lot of work can be done while doing something else. It is certainly a job to do bit by bit.

      Yes, it is a LOT of work, but I can listen to something, or chat to someone, at the same time, so it is not HARD work.
