Sue is resplendent in her finery. All ready to visit relatives and friends. The Q fringe is perfect and the other stitches are well suited to their area. I really like the effect of the Upright Cross block.
very beautiful embroidery on Sue. I especially like the Q stitch on her back of the head and puncetto valsesiano has come out very well. And the upright cross filling is very nice.

Sunbonnet Sue turned out very well. So much more fun than just stem stitch!
ReplyDeleteNot only much more fun, much more work, too, than Stem Stitch!!!
DeleteI like the upright cross stitch in the diagonal stripes, makes an easy-peasy stitch look quite complicated.
ReplyDeleteOnce you have made one diagonal line, the rest is just filling in.

I really like the effect of the Upright Cross block.
I agree, the Q stitch and its tail makes a nice fringe.
DeleteVery creative! Nice design.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to dress her like this.
Deleteas soon s I saw this lady and before I read it I knew she was a Swedish girl such a beauty
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am glad you like my 'make-believe' costume.

ReplyDeleteThe Q stitch on the fringe of the shawl and the Puncetto Valsesiano lace on the bonnet were the first stitches I knew how to use.
DeleteI like the stitches in the waist band. Sue does not sound much like a Swedish name.
ReplyDeleteSue is only used in English as a nickname for Susan. The Swedish versions would be Susanna and has no nickname.
DeleteLove your Swedish Sue!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annet.
DeleteShe is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
