Trinity Green
I began by joining the 'tagliatelle' with some gold.
With an old blade in the rotary cutter I trimmed the paper and fabric off the 'snakes' to leave a 7mm seam allowance.
The sewing machine was fed gold specked spinach tagliatelle and trimmed snakes.
on both sides, until I had five of these siamese reptiles.
There are 28 'snakes' left to go through the same procedure and the confetti party (removing the paper) has not started yet.
Ahah! now those snakes have to line up and behave. Lookin' good.
ReplyDeleteThank you. This work is faster than I had expected, but it might take some time anyway before this is completed.
ReplyDeleteyour trinity green project is getting more and more interesting. Thanks for sharing your work in progress with pictures. The gold looks lovely. Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteChitra
Many triangles have a little bit of gold print in them so it was nice to add some solid gold fabric in the 'pasta'.
DeleteI wanted to record, for myself, how I put the quilt top together, hence the photos.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you. A bit closer to the end!
Deletegood to see it is all coming together now
ReplyDeleteI know you have been waiting for this moment!
DeleteEvery step takes you just that closer to finishing. Before you know it you will be there. ( don't even think about what it will be like taking that paper off.)
ReplyDeleteWell, there IS that paper to remove, then hateful sandwich making, and then the quilting.
DeleteThat's a bit of trimming you have to do...
ReplyDeleteYes, but the work goes far more smoothly than I thought it would.
DeleteThe gold gives a nice tough!
ReplyDeleteI agree and am glad you think so, too.
DeleteLove the golden accents!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good way to lengthen the 'pasta'.
DeleteReading your blog is never disappointing. Always you have some interesting project on the go. Trinity is evolving again with the snake and I'm eager to see more.
ReplyDeleteThis work goes much faster than I had thought, so there might be a flimsy (with paper backing!!!!) in a short time!
DeleteOoh! Gold! Whatever are you going to think of next!
ReplyDeleteYes, gold! I love the additional sparkle!
