WIPW - Where is the End of the Tunnel?


Work In Progress Wednesday.

Sunday Stitch School Homework update
I turned the three Sunday Stitch School samplers into greeting cards and sent them off.


Trinity Green

I have added 324 triangles and now have a total of 8.208 tiny triangles.

Where is the end of the tunnel?


Fabric in Focus
This is such a lovely print with a little bit of colour and the white dots stand out so well.

TAST
I have updated the TAST Reference Chart with stitches #141 Fancy Bobbin Edging and #142 Interlaced Cable Chain Stitch

      I was lucky to find pockets of free time to stitch last week. Right now I have other tasks well over my head. I'm drowning!!!!

    You sure got a lot done and I love those cards you keep producing. I keep saying ' I must do that'. Haven't got to it yet.

      Yes, it was a good week. Not so this week, I'm afraid.
      Making one's own greeting cards is fun and they seem to be appreciated by the recipients.

      There is still a lot of work before the quilt can be on the bed, but steady, if slo, progress is needed.

    I love that you made greeting cards with your samplers. The one in the photo is lovely!

      The TAST reference chart was made to be useful, I wouldn't call it beautiful, but it has turned out to be a great resource.

    Your quilt is a wonderful use of all these little pieces of fabric ..... it just shows what can be done if one is determined enough! Will you use it as a blanket? Or will it be too precious?

    I struggle to decide which stitches to use when I am making items with embroidery, I think your chart is an extremely helpful reminder! Would you mind telling me what size is your TAST stitch sampler? Have you had to add extra fabric, and what fabric have you used ..... is it Osnaburg? It's such a good idea, I would like to make a similar chart, if you wouldn't mind me copying you!

      Trinity Green will be a 'throw' or bed cover (I will sandwich it with very thin wadding) and should be sturdy enough for taking naps on (by the cat or self).
      Yes, I'd guess it is Osnaburg in the TAST Reference Chart. It measures 50 x 50 cm and contains 81 boxes, one for each TAST stitch. So I have two charts to cover all the stitches.
