WIPW - Trinity Green Snakes Along

There are only a few hours left of Wednesday so I'd better hurry up and write my Work In Progress Wednesday report.

Trinity Green
Each paper strip contains 27 triangles. I joined eight strips together until I got a few 'snakes'. 27x8paper strips=216 triangles x 5snakes =1080 triangels have been stitched together.
At this slow pace it will take me about 6 weeks to have all the snakes together. Then I have to join them to narrow strips of green 'snakes' ..... and then we have all the paper to remove.... This project will stay with me for some time yet!

Fabric in Focus
For Christmas I was given two pieces of plain green fabric which I will have to cut into triangles and add to the collection.

  3. Amazing! Is it too early to ask if you will machine or hand quilt it?

    1. Oh, machine quilting! There is no way I would manage all the bulk under the seams by hand. The seam allowances are not cut off, the triangles are really small and I wouldn't have the time to do it by hand either.

  5. And ... this isn't the year of the snake. I hope it doesn't take you until that year to finish up.

    1. The quilt is for a day bed, i.e. single bed, so not SO large, but as the triangles are small it is a huge project.

    1. It will be a stripy quilt with columns of tiny triangels and thin strips of green fabric between.
