WIPW - Recycled Pillow Case

Work In Progress Wednesday:

Trinity Green

I have stitched 12 paper strips with 324 triangles. The total count is now 6.588.

Fabric in Focus
An old pillow case with roses was recycled, and the green leaves cut into triangles.

    ... but I may - comment - you are going over to brown green yellow - did the green run out? I am stitching a little your sunday school, Carin. Oh it is fun!

      Run out of green? No, way, there's plenty more, but I want to use up as much as possible and what better way to recycle this pillow case, in spite of it being brownish yellowish green.

    I think it's just right. Green is an amazing color and it 'plays' well with many other colors, just look in nature.

      You are right, we only need to refer to nature to see that there are lots of greens.

      When I have reached 7000 triangles I will start playing with a design and see if I have enough or need more.

      All quilts are like that, especially when you have recycled fabric or pieces you have bought/got from somewhere special. It is also very personal. If I hadn't told you no one but me would know I used to rest my head on those triangles when they were a pillow case.

    I have never counted the pieces in any of my quilts but am sure it would be nowhere near 7000 if I did! An amazing project, and you and Janie are so right, all those wonderful greens combine as they do in nature.

      The triangles are small so I need a lot. It will be interesting to see if 7000 is enough, or I will need more, or if there are so many I can make a cushion as well. We'll just have to wait and see.
