WIPW - Can't close the lid

I can no longer close the lid of the box where I keep the paper strips for the Trinity Green quilt.
Work In Progress Wednesday this week:

Trinity Green

 270 new triangles added. The total has passed the 6.000 mark and now stands at 6.264.
 There are still a lot of triangles waiting for their turn to be stitched to the paper strips.
Fabric in Focus
Plain fabric is 'boring', but necessary to calm down the busy prints.



The plains are outnumbered, but still shine!

    Over 6000! Amazing! You are so good to stick with it. My attention span is short I a'm afraid. I would be starting new projects. Oh, I mean I do start new projects without finishing the earlier ones!

      I, too, want to start new projects, but try to limit myself to things that will be finished soon, like small cards or ornaments. I am determined to finish this quilt before I start a major project again.

      You know how lovely embroidery looks on a plain fabric, and it is the same with pieces in patchwork.

    You look really organised with this quilt with having triangles in piles in boxes ready for stitching.

      All day I am at the beck and call of elderly family members and can only find short periods of time to stitch, so if the pieces are ready I can add a few triangles here and there.

      You, if anyone, know how important colour is, and by adding plain greens in a variety of shades and tones there will be a lot of life and movement in the quilt, hopefully.

      The quilt will be large, so it might not be fun, but funny to see me struggle!

      Are there any paper eating insects that I can feed? Or should I get myself a goat? Yes, I SHOULD worry about the confetti party.

    I wish to have your patience with all those triangles, maybe it is the greens - because the green is the colour of hope. Please keep going on and take larger boxes.

      Is green the colour of hope? It is also the colour of inexperience, and maybe I was too 'green' when I started this project. What is the colour of stubbornness? I will keep on and I will have to find a larger box.
