Get Better Soon Card

Someone close to me needed hospitalisation and nursing care. I made this stump work portrait to wish for a speedy recovery.
The white uniform and cap are made from scraps of an authentic white medical coat. The material is so compactly woven it was hard for the needle to pierce the fabric, and stitching was a pain in the neck fingers. Now my poor fingers need nursing care!

    This is wonderful Queenie! You have such wonderful ideas, and are so clever with your needle. You must have put smiles on faces of patients and staff who saw your card!

      You need a doctor if you are to hand stitch a medical coat (I had to shorten the sleeves) and will NEVER do it again by hand!!!

    I'm sure your friend will recover all the faster, having seen this dedicated nurse.
    Miss Nurse no doubt will influence other patients to smile and get better while she is on show in the hospital.

      Hang in there, Tanya, and I WILL post a tutorial on stumpwork portraits! I will also try to hunt down other information so there will be a lot to choose from.
