Work In Progress Wednesday - Berry stitch

I have made use of the Berry stitch for decorating the areas on either side of the water colour pencil dyed lace I added last week.


They look a little bit sad and I need to do something to stop them 'floating'. Busy this week so I hope to work something out before next week Wednesday.

Sharon has taken a holiday from her WIPW but others might post so do swing by there and check.

      I think this cq block will be too busy when you see all of it! I just treat this as a sampler and have no serious plans for it once it is completed.

    I like your berry stitch bows. How about a few pistil stitches between the petals of your berry stitch flowers, different sizes will stop them floating.

      Thank you! That's a great idea! I'll add Pistil stitches and some kind of garland of Chain stitch, I think...

    I like the little silver bows on top of the lower berries.

      I do, too! I think they go very well with the glint of metal in the lace.
