My biggest mistake in this project was using this fabric for the top.Queeniepatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13281330411053716603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5631637390313519247.post-19444600076112281382017-11-29T22:19:59.297+09:002017-11-29T22:19:59.297+09:00So I have to give you 10 points! Yes, only the centre top section was worked.<br />I still don't understand the technique fully, but basically you stack a number of layers (in my case three=the black on top, and then blue and bottom speckled green batik). These layers are basted together and you cut out a pattern (in my case, of flowers) in the black top, needle turn and then cut the blue, and needle turn so the bottom fabric is revealed. The other colours have been added this way: Cut a slit in the black, insert a small scrap of coloured fabric with tweezers underneath the black and needle turn a little 'window' where that fabric peeps out.Queeniepatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13281330411053716603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5631637390313519247.post-36460188554142319702017-11-29T22:14:40.941+09:002017-11-29T22:14:40.941+09:00You've got good eye sight, or did you use a ma...You've got good eye sight, or did you use a magnifying glass?Queeniepatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13281330411053716603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5631637390313519247.post-84151158879951660262017-11-29T19:28:53.781+09:002017-11-29T19:28:53.781+09:00It may not look like much progress but those littl...It may not look like much progress but those little details are fiddly and take time to get right.
