Friday Homework for Lesson 33: Chinese Knot Stitch

Student: Phew, phew. I'm sorry I'm late. Here's is my homework.
Teacher: You'd better have a good excuse for handing in your homework a day late.
Student: Well, yesterday my brain boiled dry in the heat.
Teacher: I've never heard such rubbish!
Student: But it's true, Miss, I promise.
Teacher: Stop wining and hand over the work.
Student: Here it is.
Teacher. Hm, not too bad considering the overcooked brain. I'll give you, 'Pass'.
Student: Oh, thank you, Miss.

The lovely texture in the second photo makes me want to run my hand over it. It must have taken a while to make all those knots!

Very good, especially with an overcooked brain. A lovely texture!

Very interesting stitch! Isn't it hot this summer? I'm in Kyushu this week and I feel like I'm melting.

nice knotty piece. My brain is also in slow motion. Whewww!

It's either too hot or too humid or both! This is the most humid summer I've ever experienced in Japan in all the years I've lived here. It's SO tiring!

Queeniepatch said...

Yes, it did take a long time, but it was easy and rhythmical work so it wasn't boring. The knotty surface is very 'touchable'.

Yes, it is a nice texture. Now I am talking about the knots, and not my poor brain!

Oh, the poor people of Kyushu, they have certainly suffered more than anyone with this year's disastrous weather.

It will be another 'Sleepless in Tokyo' nights!

Ha, ha! You must be right as you live in the hottest of places and produces much more work than I do.

Queeniepatch said...

Oh, yes it did!

You braved the heat and finished your project. Good work!
Stay cool.
The weather here hasn't been as humid, a little relief.

Day by day we are moving from summer into autumn and ONE day it will be cool and pleasant! I just have to be patient.
I hope all is well over there.

It was easier than I thought.
