Friday Homework for Lesson 28: Half Bullioned Chain Stitch

It's Friday here at Sunday Stitch School and I'll have to produce my homework for stitch #28 Half Bullioned Chain.

The task was to work it on my Aida sampler, and here it is:
There was no time, nor any energy to make anything else with the stitch - unfortunately.

I quite like the buttonhole look of the stitches.

This looks interesting. I'll add it to my catch-up list.
I'm guessing it is still humid and hot in your area. I hope the weather returns to comfortable, very soon.

Bullion stitches are always a challenge, this version is no exception. I do like the arch of the plain half of the chain, though.
The wether will stay with us until the end of September with a good smattering of violent typhoons along the way. Today it is HOT but not so humid. The sky is a clear blue.

I hope you find relief from the heat, a cold cloth on your neck or feet in a pail of ice water?
My grandson has a little pool in the back yard, perfect to cool off my feet.
I like the half bullion chain stitch, nicely done Queenie.

I like it too!

It produces an interesting texture, doesn't it, with the heavy line of the bullion and the lacy arc of the plain side...

Neat stitches! I'm pretty sure I'll never try this stitch, bullion knots are not my favourites.

Thank you for your advice - I live in a country famous for its fans so I always carry one with me. It is hard to stitch and fan oneself at the same time, though :))!

Oh, then you have plenty of seams to work various stitches on! This one is a bit tricky, so may I suggest a short seam?

I thought you would!

Yes, that is exactly what I like about it. Tomorrow's Sunday Stitch School lesson will feature another 'archy' kind of stitch.

Please stay away from this stitch - it IS challenging!

I envy your bullions Queenie, you'll know why when you see mine.[Sob..] yours are truly beautiful.

I am not a fan of bullion stitch but theses look good.

This stitch is tricky. When you do a Bullion rose where the stitches are piled on top of each other you can hide any uneven ones. Here you have a straight row and nowhere to bury anything.

I don't really like them either, but it is good to force oneself to have a go at them once in a while.
