TAST #93 Plaited Feather Stitch

TAST stitch #93 is called Plaited Feather Stitch, and is a relative of the Straight Sided Feather stitch (#91) and an even closer relative of the Crossed Feather stitch (#92).

If you look closely you can see that the two threads go over and under each other.

It can make a beautiful, thick braid or a band of airy, open lace.

It marches so orderly across your picture. Will we be seeing this one in your quilted piece?

Yes, isn't this stitch nice and flexible?

Thank you , Margaret.

I am not sure, the stitch is a bit too dense for quilting I would think.

Neat stitches, they look so different if you change the density! I think it would be a great stitch to represent braided hair.

I was just thinking that the stitch looked complicated to do but I see you have written that it is an easy and pleasant stitch to do, must put it on the list to do.

It is not only easy and pleasant, it is quick, too, so I hope you will find the time to give it a try. Have fun!

Great interpretations of the stitch and the references to other stitches is good to know about. I can see lots of use for your versions. They would make good borders.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
